My heroes in life varied as I got older. When I was three my hero was Spider-Man, I always knew I was a Marvel girl. I loved how Spider-Man could save everyone and be happy at the end. When I was nine and got diagnosed with vitiligo and my new hero was Winnie Harlow, the only celebrity I knew who had vitiligo at the time. I loved how she had the confidence to showcase her body and vitiligo to everyone, I wanted to be just like her when I grew up. But now that I am 17 I'm realizing that the only heroes I ever had were my parents. I realized that they have done so much and more just so I can live comfortably, so that I wouldn't have to live the way they lived back in their home country, They made the heroic move of moving from their home country to the USA. Not only that they have spent endless time, money, and energy on me by taking me to the doctors for years and providing me with treatments. They have sacrificed so much and I am grateful for every second of it. My parents will forever be my heroes. I love my parents, my heroes.
